Overview

The Mediminds Internship Program is a unique initiative designed to give high school students real-world exposure to the medical and healthcare fields. Launched in 2023, the program is a joint effort by Career Width, the M3M Foundation, and Doctors For You. It was created to inspire young minds to pursue careers in healthcare while nurturing a sense of social responsibility and empathy.

In 2024, the program gained further momentum when Young FICCI Ladies Organization (YFLO) joined hands to support its mission of creating impactful learning opportunities for the next generation.

What the Program Offers

Mediminds is more than just an internship – it’s a life-changing experience. The program provides students with a chance to:

  • 100% Sponsored Internship – No cost for participation
  • Explore diverse healthcare settings, from non-profit hospitals to specialized clinics.
  • Interaction with doctors, nurses, technicians, and public health workers
  • Hands-on experience at refugee camps, slum areas, government hospitals, private hospitals and community health drives
  • Learn from leading NGOs, especially M3M Foundation, & Doctors For You, known for their work in disaster response and community health across 28 Indian states.
  • New in 2024: Insights into Microbiology and Biotechnology fields & GTB road health camp through direct mentorship with professionals

Purpose and Vision

The Mediminds Internship aims to cultivate compassion, and empower students with both the insight and hands-on experience needed for a purposeful journey in healthcare. This isn’t just an introduction to medicine—it’s an invitation to understand the human side of healing, embrace the spirit of service, and step into the profound responsibility that comes with the white coat.

Day 1 - Tour To Meena Devi Jindal Hospital and Research Institute & Refugee Camp (9th June 2025)

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the Mediminds Internship is a free program designed to provide high school students with hands-on exposure to the medical field. Please note that buses will depart from MBG Hospital for the internship program. However, coordination of transport to and from MBG Hospital is not under our purview.

High school students with a passion for healthcare and a desire to explore medical careers.​

Interns gain practical experience through observational sessions, workshops, and mentorship in various healthcare settings.​

Students will be required to report to the designated reporting center. From there, buses arranged by the program will take students to the various internship sites and back to the reporting center. Please note that travel to and from the reporting center is the responsibility of the students and is not coordinated by the organizers.

No, the internship is voluntary and does not offer financial compensation.​
