We recently had the privilege to be included in the Indo Global Educational Fair organized by DCE at Delhi International School (DIS), Dwarka. The fair was an excellent platform for students to discover international educational opportunities, converse with specialists, and gain clarity on their academic career—alleviating them from leaving their school campus.
The event hosted more than 30 universities and education partners from across the world under a single roof. These study abroad events become extremely important in raising awareness among students regarding international education opportunities, application procedures, and career streams.
Event Activities: Supporting Students Towards Global Education
We at Career Width believe in assisting students with their dream of pursuing higher studies abroad with proper counseling and care. Through our involvement in this event, we got an opportunity to interact directly with students, know about their dreams, and counsel them on how to make their dreams a reality.
Prior to the student interactions, the representatives were all introduced to each other and had the privilege of meeting the school’s Principal, Ms. Shruti Sharma. The students could see that her enthusiasm for imparting to students international exposure was visible in all facets of the event. Her vision and enthusiasm extended a warm welcome that encouraged students to think outside the box.
One-on-One Conversations With The Students
We met students from various grades during the course of the day. It was wonderful to see their curiosity, aspirations, and enthusiasm to learn about global education opportunities. Students came to us with well-thought-out questions regarding pursuing subjects such as medicine, data science, psychology, engineering, business, and others.
Our team of experts advised students on some key areas, including:
- How to shortlist the appropriate universities and countries depending on their areas of interest and professional objectives
- Knowledge of eligibility criteria and entry tests such as SAT, IELTS, UCAT, etc.
- Creating a customized study abroad roadmap
- Profile building by doing projects, internships, and extra-curricular activities
Such discussions revealed that today’s students are planning ahead. Provided with the right guidance and planning, they can effectively deal with the competitive landscape of global education.

Study abroad events such as this fair are crucial as they narrow the information gap between students and parents. They provide a platform to:

A Step Towards Global Success
The Indo Global Educational Fair reminded us of our own conviction that interacting with students at the school level is among the most powerful means of influencing them towards success. It also demonstrated how career guidance, if executed at the appropriate time, can actually determine the direction of a student’s academic and career life.
We express our sincere gratitude to Delhi International School, Dwarka, and DCE for conducting this well-organized event and for requesting us to join the same. Their initiative in taking global education opportunities to students’ doorsteps must be appreciated.
